The St. Catharines & Area Aquarium Society would like to thank everyone involved in our spring auction as it was a giant success. If it wasn’t for all the bidders, sellers, volunteers and sponsors and people who donated, we wouldn’t have had such an amazing day as we had on Saturday. This auction by far was one of our largest. We would like to recognize all the parties involved below.
Thank you to our corporate sponsors, such as Aqueon, Zoo Med and Northfin for their donations of aquariums, fish foods and filters. These corporate sponsors donate some of our large items that we either put out for raffles or to be auctioned off for you as buyers to get a good deal. We would also like to thank our small business owners, such as Garden City pets, Big Al’s Hamilton, Finatics Aquarium, Iconic Aquatics, Cat’s Fish Caves, Advitan, Pet Value Thorold, Smilee Dental, Julie’s Tire & Auto and North Aquatics for all of your generous donations as well because without all of you, we wouldn’t be able to provide all of our hobbyists with such amazing bargains and prizes.
Next we would like to recognize everyone who donated food to the kitchen Cindy (Chili), Kandys (Baked Goods), Annie (Pizza) and Jon (Hotdogs). Because of them we could have a delicious menu of food for everyone to eat and so that the kitchen could provide more revenue to the club.
The volunteers, where do we begin? All of you listed below are amazing individuals who helped make this event possible. Without you, there would not be an auction.
The auctioneers: Jerry, Mike and Brian(relief)
Our front end staff: Kandys, Phil, Ernest & Gary.
Auction organization: Erin & Shawn, Sathish & Jashwanth
Table Managers: Dan and Brendan
Audio set-up and Tech Dude: Brett
Runners: Derek A, Karson, Julia, Andrew, Jash, Hillary, Sylvia and many others.

If there is anyone else that we missed we apologize. We really appreciate everything everyone did to help us with this amazing auction. We look forward to seeing many of you and working with many of you in the future at our fall auction and other regular club events.

Hello all! Hope all is well! Our last meeting was top shelf with Hayden Pounder giving us aglimpse of collecting fish and all that goes with it, an excellent presentation will
certainly ask him back! The hot dog night went off without a hitch kudos to Jon for getting together and setting it up will do it again in the future. On a high note, we had Ernest Biktimirov, who is certified in accounting, to look over our books, he wassatisfied that we are on the right track. Thank you, Ernest and Kudos, to Kandys foryour hard work. On the membership side of things, we hit a high note with 38
members attending, the highest in 6 years! We are striving to be the largest club in CAOAC! People show up at a meeting and like what they see and sign up, so we have
to keep that going! If anyone knows a person who may be interested, bring them to a meeting! Your Executive is working on some things to make us bigger and better
and will put them in play after checking them out thoroughly. Our speaker for our meeting on Monday May 5th/25 will be Sasha Hunter. The topic is ponds and pond keeping! Also, Bruce Palmer will let everyone know that June is election month if needed for the Executive positions. Also, we have an auction on May 03/25 the early registering is looking like a busy day. Get ahold of Jon to get registered and be ready
to have a good time. Lastly, Dave Holland Treasurer and Frank Aquirre President of CAOAC will have a table at our auction for information and sale items
Hope to see all who can attend.
Jim Chalmers
President
