Mike has been in the Hobby all his life. From being a youngster and having his parents hide his Christmas Gifts in the Aquarium stand that they had , cause he would never go in there. There is a Tip for you parents!
You might recognize Mike from Big Als Hamilton . Working there for over 17 years! He is also the Past President of Hamilton & District Aquarium Society and is still much involved with Club! With his past medical issues he had which included a stroke, he is feeling better and ready to go!
He has spoken before to the club on 2 Occasions in the past. Talking to us on Working in the retail of the hobby and Pandemic vs the Hobby. During his presentations , Mike likes to put humor in them. One day a member came into the store and said “ Mike, we love your presentations and how you put humour inside them” . Can you do a all humour one? I said sure!
While visiting my dad’s gravesite, he remembered how his late father was a Big Jeff Foxworthy you might be a redneck fan. Then it clicked in. You might be an Aquatic Redneck! I hope you enjoy!
At this time, I would like to thank the current St Cathrines Aquarium Society Executive and board members for doing an amazing job!

Hello all,
As you are probably aware we have a new meeting hall! It is located on Thorold Stone Rd. Niagara Falls and is more than adequate for us. When you turn off Thorold stone Rd into the parking lot you will see a meeting hall on your right It is a stand alone building on the premises. I would like to thank all who offered up suggestions on where to look for a meeting place. The auction was a success and we are steadily getting back to financial stability. Starting in September we will be looking for speakers to come and give their talks on our hobby. This will be our last meeting of the season and elections for office will be held! Looking forward to see all who can attend. Have a great summer!
Jim Chalmers
Interim President
